Feb 24, 2019Henderson. He was born August 28, 1933 to Frank A. and Susie (Johnson) Eck at Meno, Oklahoma. On April 27, 1956, he was united in marriage to Jennie Peters in Henderson. Mahlon was a lifelong farmer in Clay, York, and Hamilton Counties. He enjoyed woodworking, camping and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.Mahlon is survived by his wife Jennie of Henderson, sons Nathan (Sally) Eck and Anthony Joe Eck of Henderson, daughters Joy (Frank) Steckly of Beaver Crossing, and Dawn (Marty) Meinzer of York; nine grandchildren, eight greatgrandchildren, sister-in-law Rose Eck of Tulsa, OK, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and five sisters.Graveside services will be held at 9:15 a.m., Friday, Feb. 22, 2019 at Bethesda Cemetery, Henderson. Memorial services will follow at 10 a.m., at Bethesda Mennonite Church, Henderson with the Reverend Seth Miller officiating.Visitation will be held from 1-9 p.m., on Thursday and then with family present from 7-8:30 p.m., later that same evening at the mortuary in Henderson.
